# DaisySMS alternative

DaisySMS was a small, US-centric service with a simple catalog and an SMS-Activate-style API. It announced its closure in February 2026 and shut down on 26 March 2026, leaving its users looking for US numbers elsewhere.

## Is DaisySMS still working?

No. DaisySMS shut down on 26 March 2026. SMS Nitro covers what it did (US numbers from real carriers, pay per delivered code, an SMS-Activate-style API) and adds 180+ other countries, rentals and success rates per country. Scripts written for DaisySMS's API usually need only a new base URL and key.

## What DaisySMS was

A US-focused number service with real carrier numbers, dynamic pricing, an SMS-Activate-compatible API and a reputation for ease of use. It stopped operating on 26 March 2026.

## What SMS Nitro does differently

- Private numbers only, never shared inboxes.
- Price frozen at purchase, charged only when the SMS arrives; the number is reserved for 20 minutes.
- Live price and recent success rate per app and country before you confirm.
- Card and crypto top-ups from $5, balance that never expires, no subscription.
- REST API plus an SMS-Activate-compatible endpoint, so existing tools migrate by changing the key.
- Catalog written in each language from scratch, with a legal entity, refund policy and support behind it.

## Moving from DaisySMS to SMS Nitro

Create an account, top up from $5 and compare the prices of the apps you use most. If you used DaisySMS through its API, the SMS-Activate-compatible endpoint lets most scripts run unchanged after you swap the base URL and the key. Numbers that receive no SMS are never charged, so testing a new provider costs nothing when it fails.

## What to move to

Take the US physical-SIM pool on SMS Nitro for the apps you verified on DaisySMS (Google, Discord, TikTok, Instagram and the like); it passes the same carrier checks. Point your tooling at the SMS-Activate-compatible endpoint and keep the rest of your workflow.

## FAQ

**Does SMS Nitro have US numbers?** Yes, both physical-SIM and virtual pools, labeled in the catalog.

**Can I recover my DaisySMS balance through SMS Nitro?** No. Balances were held by DaisySMS; SMS Nitro has no access to them.

**Will my DaisySMS scripts work?** DaisySMS used an SMS-Activate-style API, so most scripts run after changing the base URL and the key.
